| From Miller Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains, Arizona, a large plate with red Calcite surrounding lavender Smithsonite as shown under shortwave UV in the upper picture. The lower picture shows the response under longwave UV where the Smithsonite is a creamy white color and some surprising veins of yellow/orange Sphalerite appear. One of the most unusual and aesthetic pieces from this location. The Sphalerite has a good phosphorescence. Dimensions are 6 x 2 1/2 x 1 inches. Price: $75 |
