This is a huge piece of solid Ruby (Corundum) from India that glows, logically, ruby red under longwave UV.  While the brightness is not great the color is very intense.  On the top are some labels left over from when I purchased this piece years ago from Jeanne Gurski.  The face shown measures 5 x 3 inches.  There is a reverse face that is even larger, 5 x 5 inches, that might be very nice if it was cleaned up properly.  I recall Jeanne said that she used acid for cleaning these pieces, although I'm not sure which acid.  Dimensions are 5 x 5 x 1 1/2 inches.  Price: $60
