| This is a small piece that broke off what is perhaps the largest specimen ever collected from Miller Canyon, a piece over two feet wide that weighs 70 lbs. It is not difficult to see how this piece came loose as the back face is a fracture along a seam of an unusual fibrous mineral that I haven't identified. The fluorescent minerals are red Calcite, violet/pink Smithsonite, and green Willemite which can be seen under shortwave UV in pictures 1 and 3. Under longwave UV yellow/orange Sphalerite appears, shown in pictures 2 and 4. This would be a nice 4-color piece under a combination of shortwave and longwave. Dimensions are 3 x 3 x 1 inches. Price: $35 |
